  Is local support for TimeTec available?
Yes. TimeTec has more than 200 authorized resellers in approximately 120 countries. Kindly check the countries where TimeTec resellers are located. You may contact us via email, MSN, Skype, GoogleTalk for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week year-round service.
  Where is the location of TimeTec Server?
Currently, the TimeTec platform is located in West California, United States of America.
  Do you set up your own cloud platform, or you work with a third party vendor?
TimeTec is currently working with Amazon EC2 who acts as our Cloud platform provider.
  What is the uptime guarantee for TimeTec?

On FingerTec Terminals
  Is a FingerTec terminal necessary if I intend to use TimeTec?
A FingerTec terminal is not a must if you want to use TimeTec. As an alternative, you may download TimeTec Mobile on your iPhone or Android gadgets or you can use our web check-in on any computer to clock-in your attendance. But nowadays, more and more companies are choosing biometrics terminals for attendance clocking to prevent "buddy-punching" activities, and some may choose RFID card terminals for the same purpose.
  Can I use other brands of biometrics and/or RFID terminals for TimeTec instead of FingerTec brand?
No. TimeTec does not support other brands of biometrics terminals. FingerTec terminals are reliable to be used with TimeTec, as they have been fully tested and seamlessly integrated into the solution.
  Where can I buy FingerTec terminals and where would I get local support?
All of TimeTec appointed local authorized resellers are well versed with FingerTec solutions. Hence, you can purchase or rent FingerTec terminals and get local support directly from them.
  How reliable are FingerTec terminals time clocks?
Usually software houses offer a lot of workforce cloud services without providing reliable hardware and sales & technical support network to ensure a smooth implementation. The brand FingerTec and its line of time attendance and access control devices have been in the market for more than a decade and the brand has received high recognition in product and support quality.
On User License
  What is the rationale of charging TimeTec by a block of 10 users instead of counting the license by the exact number of users to reduce the implementation cost?
Staff turnover is never constant and always changing in a company. To charge for an individual license for every new recruit is cumbersome because you have to go through TimeTec license subscription and payment process before he/she can be registered into the system, or you will need to cancel a user license if he/she had resigned. Charging 10 users per block of user licenses would ensure that a company has some spare licenses to be used at anytime. The TimeTec license subscription fee is only USD2 per user per month, comparatively low in the market, and the minimum of 10 users as a unit of group license only to justify our investment and commitment to provide high quality and reliable system for you.
  If my company has a subscription billing cycle of one year, and in the middle of the year, we hire some new staff and we run out of spare user licenses. Can I buy new User Group License and still sync with my billing cycle?
Yes, you can subscribe to a new User Group License anytime, and sync it to the expiry date (calculated monthly) of your billing cycle. You would be charged according to the remaining months of your existing expiry date. In reverse, if you want to reduce your User Group License due to staff reduction, you can unsubscribe and get the refund minus the administration charge of USD10 and bank charge accordingly.

Note: The Term of Subscription Discount is not applicable for additional User Group License subscription in between Billing Cycle.
  Do you have any terminal set up fee?
No, we don't impose terminal setup fee.
  Could my free trial data get transferred to my subscribed account to save on repetitive tasks on system set up and data entry?
Definitely. Our system is designed to allow free trial data to be migrated to the subscribed account to avoid repetitive data entry and system set up.
  My company is currently using FingerTec terminals, can I integrate the terminals to TimeTec during the free trial period?
Yes.
On Free 10 User Licenses
  Should I purchase any FingerTec biometrics terminals to entitle me for TimeTec's free 10 user licenses?
You are not required to purchase any terminals from us to entitle you to receive the free TimeTec user-license block. Every FingerTec client automatically gets a block of TimeTec containing 10 user licenses for free.
  Can I have additional free blocks if I purchase more FingerTec terminals from you?
No, one company is only entitled to a free block regardless of the amount of hardware purchase or the frequency of purchase from FingerTec or FingerTec's resellers. However, if you would like to test on more than 10 user licenses, contact us at info@timeteccloud.com to discuss further.
  Do we need to provide credit card information to obtain these free licenses?
Don't take out your wallet just yet; we don't require any credit card information for this free account, believe it, it's FREE. However, once you decide to add some more licenses, we offer several payment methods to go about.
  Can I sync my employee's data with another existing free account or do I need to create a new account?
Each company is entitled to only one TimeTec free account with 10 user licenses. In case you register for another free account for your other company and you would like to merge the data from these two accounts into one, we will not make it possible. In this case you will have to decide which account you want to use and you need to top up that account with user license subscriptions. Once the subscriptions are purchased, only then can the data from another account be merged and synced into one account. This condition is in place to avoid abuse of privilege by TimeTec users.
  Will my data be kept even if it's inactive?
Yes, we will keep the data even when your account is inactive but efforts will be taken to alert you on your account's inactivity.
  Will I receive full support even if I'm using this free account?
Trust us, we will not leave you behind; our technical team will always be providing you with our full support because we treat all TimeTec account users the same; entitled to user's privileges.
  Does a free account have features similar to a fully paid account?
Yes, nothing is being hidden or disabled just because the account is free. We strongly believe that by providing companies with this free account, they can experience the benefits of the software in totality in managing their business, and in time, would consider TimeTec as the solution to handle their employees as the company grows.
  If I delete an existing user, can I create another user to replace the deleted one?
No. We provided you the 10 user licenses free in one account and these users are fixed. If you want to use this for system for a long time, choose carefully who you want to include in the 10 users list.
  What if I need the data of the employees that I wish to delete?
You need to export every data of the employee before you proceed with the deletion.
  Is there any further discount for TimeTec licenses if I want to buy more?

On Payment
  I don't prefer doing payment transactions online. Can i use other payment modes?
Yes. You can pay to our local authorized reseller. We will activate your subscription account once we have received payment from the local reseller.
  I prefer to pay in local currency, what should I do?
We charge the subscription fees in US dollar. If you would like to pay using your local currency, you may choose to pay to our local authorized resellers. But the total amount would be based on the then exchange rate of your local currency against US dollar.
  Do I need to pay bank charges when I make the online payment to you?
No. You just need to pay the exact amount on the billing.
On Termination
  Am I able to get any refund when my company wants to terminate its subscription?
Yes, you could get the refund for the unutilized subscription calculated by months minus the administration charges of USD 10 and bank charges.

If your subscription fee was paid to our local authorized reseller, you have to inform them to help you terminate your subscription and you have to get your refund from them.
  Can I retrieve my company data when our company had decided to terminate TimeTec's subscription?
Yes, we will send you a link via your registered email for you to download your data in csv format. It is recommended that you download the relevant data during the grace period of 45 days. After the grace period, we will remove your data from our server and any lost of data after that grace period is regretful.
  Could my company renew my subscription when it has already terminated?
Renewal of your subscription is available within 45 days of grace period after termination is approved. After that, your data will be removed from our server, and you have to start with a new subscription and go through all the system set up process again.
On Support
  How do I get technical support for TimeTec?
Our technical team is reachable via LiveChat, readily available chat channel in the TimeTec software and they can also be contacted via email at support@timeteccloud.com for a swift reply. TimeTec support is available 24-hour, 7 days a week, all year round.
  I'm not familiar with TimeTec. What is the best way to setup my account?
Implementation Wizard will be there to assist you. All you need to do is to follow the instructions provided and you'll be able to setup your account in no time. If in any case you are stuck, the support is available for assistance.
  Can I migrate my existing data from TCMS to TimeTec?
Yes, we have prepared a Migration Wizard to assist you on setting up your account effortlessly.
  I want to understand more on TimeTec. Is there a training that I can attend?

On Existing TCMS v2 User
  I'm currently using FingerTec TCMS V2 software, should I upgrade the software to TimeTec or is TCMS V2 sufficient for my requirements?
The migration is not compulsory if TCMS V2 fits your current requirements and a cloud-based solution is not on top of your priority list. TimeTec highlights Cloud-based solutions with some key features, which are absent from TCMS V2. In case there are requirements from your end to include the features such as customizable reports, multi-tier user access rights, etc., and you have the budget to implement TimeTec, we highly recommend an upgrade from TCMS V2 to TimeTec.
  Are all features in the TCMS V2 available in TimeTec?
TimeTec contains all the TCMS V2 time attendance features plus much more! On top of that, the software is easily navigated, allowing you to apply and use the features that you need easily.
